Since Jetliner is not afraid to embrace the comparisons to Queen, I’m not afraid to admit that I saw Queen in about 1980 or so, so I do have a basis for comparing them. Jetliner fares pretty well. The Roxy seemed like such a small venue for such a big presence. It seemed like a trip back in time to the big arena rock shows of the late 70s and early 80s. I saw the show with Toren and we both thought it was incredible to be seeing such a show at the Roxy. Great musicianship, fantastic harmony vocals, ripping guitar work, thunderous drums. Not so fond of the Roxy’s sound mix (see my last blog post), but the band shone through.
