Reggae's got a hold on me and it's not letting go.
Which is fine.
I'm finding myself asking, "What do you KNOW?" As in, know in your bones. I played reggae music for years and despite various attempts to foray into techno, hardcore, be bop, classic rock and a million other genres I still get that chank chank chank chank in my bones.
"What about blending styles?" you ask.
I'm one step ahead of you!
This current project (one of several) is, hopefully, a witty fusion of one drop reggae with jazz/fusion guitar work. Is anyone going to listen, a few will. But that's not the point. It's what I want to do ... my muse is calling and she's all about the groove and syncopation with altered 7 chords.
OOOh! Just heard a wicked bassline in my head ... gotta go!
