I completely forgot it was a Tuesday back a couple of hours ago. Which means that I forgot there are new albums out. A quick scan through the iTunes music store gave me all I need to confirm that there is something really wrong.

My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade is nothing short of angry/theatre kids' wet dreams. I have only heard samples though, although that was plenty for my ear. I will try and make time to sit throught the entire album, but there is plenty on my shelf as of now.

Going along with the Hot Topic niche, I'd like to clerify something: The Nightmare Before Christmasis one the most boring things that I have ever seen. I've had this same opinion since the film's release in 1993, so don't try and have a "douchey" comeback. But to the point, the film's 3-D re-release and special edition soundtrack are the craziest forms of whoring to date. She Wants Revenge, Panic!, and Marilyn Manson, with these class acts, there is no reason any of these bands should have taken this project seriously.

Lastly, I want to address Sofia Coppola. I know the Marie Antoinette soundtrack has been out for an odd number of weeks, but I never actually paid attention to the tracklisting. Sofia, where were you 2 years ago? All of the acts on your "amazing" soundtrack would have forced me to cream my pants, just like those featured in your last film. You kept the Lost in Translation soundtrack subtle, making both the film and compact disc jems on their own. New Order is old news and The Radio Department can go too. Hell, Kevin Shield's (re)appearance is not even astounding. Stop wasting "Indie's" DNA (the skin is much too chafed) and give us another compilation of worthwhile listening.

As a side note, something odd has changed in our present culture. I can't exactly pinpoint it, but its the same disguise used by the She Wants Revenge wave of yesteryear.
