Deep Pocket May 26 Pitcher House Review
Posted by toren on Jun 6th, 2006
Deep Pocket ripped through a set of smoking electric blues at the Pitcher House last Friday night. Lead singer James Leveau has a classic blues voice hitting the high notes while never losing the gravel tone of whisky and cigarettes.
That said the highlight of the evening was when rhythm guitarist Ross Hooper took over mic duties and busted out a rocking version of Chris Issac’s "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing. Deep Pocket is definitely worth checking out the next time they’re in town.

This was hands down the best performance I've seen from them. They dominated the stage with wonderful music and beat. It was def. a great time. Can't wait to see them again.

I've heard Deep Pocket in several incarnations; this is by far their best lineup. Their stage presence is pretty mellow, but they know how to play the blues, and their new lead singer really knows how to sing 'em. Highly recommended!
