Christopher Westpark"A painter paints pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence." ~Leopold Stokowski"All deep things are song. It seems somehow the very central essence of us, song; as if all the rest were but wrappages and hulls!" ~Thomas Carlyle "I think psychedelics play a major part in what we do, but having said that, I feel that if somebody's going to experiment with those things they really need to educate themselves about them. People just taking the chemicals and diving in without having any kind of preparation about what they're about to experience tend to have no frame of reference, so they're missing everything flying by and all these new perspectives. It's just a waste. They reach a little bit of spiritual enlightenment, but they end up going, 'Well, now I need that drug to get back there again.' The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug."-Maynerd James Keenan "I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not."-Kurt Cobain Musically mediative and melodically meshed grungy acoustic guitar with momentous vocals can describe Christopher Westparks music. Tainted by a mixture of alternative rock influences and the emotional downlplay of the experiences of an individuals life that has a hue of universal connection. Christopher Wespark has been spewing out tunes that twist and turn the experiences. "Music has been such a huge influence and life changing experience for me, like putting in a good album that brings us back euphorically to a good time or a bad time, or putting in an album that we devour and can't stop listening too, letting it be a soundtrack to our present life, a song we slow danced too with our lover, or rocked out too with a friend at a party, or something you listened too while you where smoking a bowl or drinking a beer or tripping out sober or in a existential state, or something that really just hit you in a special way that was just the perfect medicine at the moment, music has been such a friend in my life and has had a profound impact in my life, all I would like to do is return the favour. If I could touch atleast a few people, just like so many great artists have touched mine, I would die a happy man and feel my purpose fulfilled"-Christopher Westpark so modestly retorts. Christopher Westpark has been songwriting since he first picked up his Dad's dusty 12 string guitar when he was 14. Since then he's been fostering his craft until it's grown into the fruit he has today. Grown with the fertilizer of his influences like Nirvana, Bush, Staind, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Matchbox 20, and many others. Lighted by the hue of his clinical depression his plant has grown into a mesh of light sonnets too in your face metallic madness. Sometimes political, some times personal, sometimes emotional, sometimes universal. His plant has begun to flower with the creative blooms full of guitars and spurts of vocal reveries. His random live performances at local open mic night has caused observers to look up from their coffee or beer glasses and look in amazement looking at a strong voice coming out of a skinny dude sporting a lonely acoustic guitar. Being introduced as the guy that sounds like Kurt Cobain and might play hard enough too make his pickup fall out of his guitar and the possibility of smashing it and making his stance. With his coffee shop rock. Screaming through the silence. Christopher is currently working on raising funds too release an album as well as better equipment and a reliable mode of transportation to get him around too gigs.He also is looking for a band to expand his sound and help him get back too his rhythmic backed rock roots. He is working on a new album too expand his musical river of progression. He, like many other musicians is seeking a sponsor or label too help with his vision. Until then he is working in a cubicle too make some extra cash to fund his passion. "I just hope that someone will enjoy what I've shit out, and maybe someday reach more people then the pictures on my walls"-Christopher Westpark

Just started to listen to your songs but likely what I hear so far. Dig Deeper reminds me of a psychedelic 60's movie I've never scene but can imagine.
